What is an ideal advertising strategy- SEO or PPC ?

Mahir Arzu

I have an E-commerce website, unfortunately, my website is not able to generate much traffic. The speed of my website seems to be fine and I have ensured the quality of content is not compromised while keeping the guidelines provided by Google. It has been more than a month since I applied the SEO rules but could not achieve the desired target so far. I recently came across the PPC marketing strategy(Pay per Click), and now I am confused if it is a better way to generate traffic.

Have any of you ever heard of MPO? Marketplace Optimization is quiet same as SEO, it is a popular technique to rank sellers or whatever they are selling, to their targeted audience. An accurate example for this would be product description, reviews, ratings etc. One of the common ways, you can optimize the products is by writing eye-catching product tittles. Further more, enhancing product descriptions also plays a major role, in bringing potential customer to your doorstep. PPC and SEO are definitely the popular advertising strategy but using MPO is more productive, if you want your product to reach its potential customer without any efforts. Also, PPC is costly, smart business strategy would be to market your products without spending a dime, which clearly means SEO or MPO is the reliable advertising plan.

SEO is the solution you should rely on! Sure, it is slow but the results are long-lasting and most importantly, you can keep optimizing further over the passing time. Once you meet the target, the outcome stays stable. With PPC you need to keep bidding which is extremely time-consuming. To give you a PPC example, it is like a vending machine, which will only serve you when more money is poured in. Take my advice from me as I am a digital marketer for the past 10 years, and SEO is the sensible pick.

The discussion about SEO vs paid ads is never-ending. Anyways, to answer your question, PPC is much better than SEO. The free digital strategy takes a lot of time to generate productive results. Yes, you do need to invest money in PPC but it targets the exact audience of your niche, while SEO does miss the target at times. If you are active in a highly competitive market, then PPC is the solution.

I noticed you said it had been more than a month since you applied SEO, I would suggest you wait for at least 4 to 6 months before you receive results as this is the last time SEO takes to generate the desired outcome. PPC is a much better option for big multinational companies because it can be expensive. The real question should be which is better - PPC vs google ads?
