Does Blogging drive sales?

Does Blogging drive sales?

Ahmed Mustaqeem

In an era of the digital businesses and so many useful tools to help you rank higher on the SERPs, does blogging also play an impactful part? I have studied closely about perks of SEO, Breadcrumbs, Site Maps and what not, but I am not sure if adding a blog to a website will help it to increase traffic, brand awareness and sales. The reason why I doubt the benefits of blogging is  because I think, people these days don't prefer to read much. They can easily browse digital media and gain the information they are looking for.

Here is an important tip, if you want to make money from blogging, then go for affiliate marketing. First and foremost, it is a must for you to add a blog to your website, because that's how Google will read it efficiently. Secondly, add sponsored links to earn commission that you deserve. Lastly and important, update your blog oftenly. You will only make money, when you will have enough traffic, that can be only done when you update your blog regularly. Fresh content means more audience. Needless to say, it has to be free from plagiarism.

That debate is long gone my friend. Long-tail keywords are the most preferred way to optimize your on-page content. If you want better results on Google, then you need to focus on coming up with long-tail keywords, It has proven to be a better SEO tactic compared to the shorter ones. As the these tend to be more direct which helps the website to find new people. Lastly, these are more relatable and closer to the search intent. Even if you are planning to incorporate the keywords in the blog, for that long-tail are the best bet. However, once you have a keyword with low competition, try not to stuff it unnecessarily in the content as it will badly affect the reading experience and that can act as a road block to your website ranking better on search engine result page.

I came across this discussion while doing some research for a project and I could not agree more. Blogging does help in driving the sales of a website. Blogging for brand awareness and gaining potential leads is a fool-proof strategy that every E-commerce business should follow. I would also like to mention, writing catchy titles lure your desired customers too. As per the report of the Head Analyzer by CoSchedule, a title should be a combination of common, and uncommon words and showcase emotion. But the debate about long-tail keywords VS short ones are still going on.

I am a freelance blogger, and let me tell you blogs are more than a soul to the body of SEO. I have written many SEO-friendly blogs for well-known companies and they have ranked much better than their expectations on Google. A blog that has digital media such as videos and images attracts Google's crawlers more effectively. As the popular search engine, values the visuals. Of course, Adding Alt text plays another essential role, as it makes your content accessible to visually impaired audience plus it certainly affects your rank in the SERPs.

Well, I respectfully disagree. Blogging is as important as other aspects of SEO. it not only engages your audience with informative content but also stimulate them to make an action, using the Call-To-Action strategies. Most importantly, it informs the audience about the brand's mission and personality. An SEO-friendly blog, invites crawlers to read your content and index the page, which clearly help in ranking higher on the SERPs. Last but not the least, it helps in creating backlinks which is another crucial part of Search Engine Optimization.
